Welcome to "Happy" the Dog's website!
"Happy" is a shih-tzu breed of dog. Shih-tzu dogs were raised in the palaces by eunichs for the pleasure of the nobility. (click here for history) They sat on satin pillows and had beautiful marble courtyards to run in. Their distant relatives are the Pekingese and Tibetan-type dogs. Shih-tzu toy dogs are bred only to love their masters and to be loved. Our dog "Happy" was born on March 30, 2000. She has several nicknames that she answers to. These are: Happy Mama, Mama Happy, Abu, Abusimo, and just recently my husband gave her the nickname 'Shakoy'. As for Happy's personality and behavior, she is best described as a 'mute-human'. At least that's how we describe her since she acts and behaves just like us.
